wow! i actually read EVERYTHING! it all makes sense. i found NWVD when looking for a Nikon SB-600 Flash and found that they had a Unbelievable price $189 compared to a trustworthy site like BHphotovideo $218+free shipping. I had to google to see if this site was legit. when i made the search, this blog was on top and boy am i glad i read it. Thank you very much Josh! I feel like you saved my a**.

Thanks so much for this thorough vetting of your experience with NWV. You really nailed it.

Their bait-and-switch tactics are now well documented in several Web sites. I wonder what impact it has on their revenue.

agree with principality of fashion, I already had my sb-600 in the cart and was about to click submit. Thank you!

Hi Josh- Thank you for the info. I unfortunately went through a similar experience. After reading all the comments on this company I promptly canceled my order. Hopefully I do not have any more trouble with this company.
Thanks, dielast.

Thanks for this blog. I was just about to pick up a speedlight for my camera. $175 on NWV, and around $215 everywhere else. Google Products seller ratings showed 4.5 out of 5 stars, but I wasn't convinced. Did a quick search and found this.

What horribly unprofessional customer service.

Wow. Thank you for posting your email correspondence! It saved me the frustration of dealing with new world video direct. I was just about to submit my order and was looking for a coupon when I stumbled upon your blog post. I was astounded by Scott's unprofessionalism! As entertaining as it was to read, I'm glad I didn't have to experience it for myself first hand.

Thank you!

Thank God I read your blog before buying a battery from them. Obviously, I didn't buy it. They sounded too good to be true and little bit curiosity led me to your blog. I am never buying anything from them. Ever.

Thank you for taking the time to share this experience. I'm glad I caught this when I did.

Thanks again.

I was looking on amazon for a 67mm close up lens. Amazon had hundreds of 67mm close up lenses sold by NWVD with the exact same picture posted for lenses by various companies such as Canon, Nikon, Olympus, Sigma, Tamron, Pentax, and &nbsp. Can you believe all these companies had lenses with the EXACT same picture??? There was no writing visable on the plain black rim. All were selling from $69.50 to $89.50! Two entries had one star reviews stating the lenses they had received were generic lenses. I contacted Amazon about this.

Thank you soo much for the post. I searched the review on google for NWVD.com before I even thought of purchasing from the site. I was very suspicious why the canon 200dg camera bag was soo cheap.
